Happy Aquarius New Moon & Lunar New Year!

I’ve had several dreams with snakes over the past few months and even found a dead baby one in my garage 😳 - very fitting now that we’re in the Year of the Wood Snake in Chinese Astrology. This is a time for depth, transformation, and moving slowly and strategically.

With it being a 9 Universal Year in numerology, we can shed our skin and let go of what is holding us back. Today’s new moon calls for us to have faith and a positive vision for the future, with its good aspect to Jupiter in Gemini…Yes, even in dire times.

Aquarius is ruled by both Uranus and Saturn, and while both planets can present their share of challenges, they are positively aspected to some of their neighbors. Uranus receives beams from both Venus in Pisces and Mars in Cancer, presenting the opportunity to shake up your relationships, to better suit where you are in life. Saturn makes a positive connection with Mars, still retrograde, and in its sign of “fall”, Cancer. So building will feel like a slow and emotional climb, but there is still the possibility of moving forward. Just.keep.going.

Above all, this Aquarius new moon wants you to focus on a new vision for yourself. There are 4 planets currently in Aquarius, which is about forward thinking.The vision is the thought, the idea, the spark. Pisces is also vision, but it's where the thought actually becomes visual, and you can see it. There are three planets currently in Pisces, plus the north node. The air element is dominant, but because Aquarius is the water bearer, we are combining both our rational thought with our emotions.

Uranus turns direct tomorrow, January 30, after a 4-month retrograde period. You may literally feel a jolt of inspiration tomorrow. February is a month of forward movement, so we’ll have the chance to start executing on some of what you are dreaming now.

Here’s an easy ritual for the Aquarius new moon that you can do for yourself, and the collective. And I’ll keep saying this but Pluto in Aquarius means we’re all in the trenches together. So whatever vision you have for yourself, keep others in mind and how it will affect them. That’s the Aquarian way.
